Houston at Atlanta
Kubiak era will take another step forward.
NY Jets at Buffalo
Pennington is back, and I am done betting on the Bills. They're terrible.
Baltimore at Cleveland
I will take the Ravens, but this is a hard one to call.
St. Louis at Dallas
Oh, dear lord, this will be a razing.
Chicago at Detroit
I am taking a flier here. Kitna has passed for almost 1,000 yards, they're at home, and Brian Greese, trust me, is no saviour. Jake Plummer seemed like a good option in comparison, and he couldn't win the job in Tampa, where, you know, I could.
Oakland at Miami
Another tough one. You may take Moose and the Raiders, but Trent Green is playing well and Ronnie Brown got 3 TDs last week.
Green Bay at Minnesota
I sincerely hope you pick your team here.
Seattle at San Francisco
I just never got on the 49er bandwagon, particularily without their Tight End.
Tampa Bay at Carolina
Panthers. Moving on...
Denver at Indianapolis
I'd love to pick the Broncos here, but it's in Indianapolis. Even I'm not that dedicated.
Pittsburgh at Arizona
Make that 4-0 for Big Ben (how fitting!)
Kansas City at San Diego
Wow.
Philadelphia at NY Giants
Yeah, i think. I don't know. Plexico is hurt, though.
New England at Cincinnati
God, the Patriots are unbelievable. How do they stay at this level? And how is Moss suddenly good again?
For the record, in my fantasy pick'em pool, I picked the favourite to cover the spread in every game except one - I don't think the Colts will win by
that much.

Josh Week 3
San Diego at Green Bay
This is a tough call, but I think both these defences suck, and I'll take the Chargers offence over a resurgent Favre, even at Lambeau.
Minnesota at Kansas City
Jackson is out, but I don't think it will matter. I think the Chiefs are absolutely terrible.
Buffalo at New England
Patriots.
Miami at NY Jets
Ummm, Jets? Both these teams are bad, but I think the Jets aren't nearly as bad.
Detroit at Philadelphia
Black quarterbacks face more scrutiny, McNabb says. Well, in this case, it doesn't matter. The Eagles are bad.
San Francisco at Pittsburgh
Even Frank Gore won't get through this D.
St. Louis at Tampa Bay
Tampa Bay... yikes. This pick scares me, but at homeand outside, I think they'll beat the no-longer-greatest show on turf.
Arizona at Baltimore
Wow, would this be bad for the Ravens to lose.
Indianapolis at Houston
Houston is doing well, but they're not at this level... yet.
Jacksonville at Denver
Broncos going 3-0! Hopefully...
Cleveland at Oakland
If they put up more than 40 against the Bengals, they can beat the Raiders.
Cincinnati at Seattle
I know Seattle is at home, but wow. Tough pick. I'll take the Bengals, and Carson Palmers 8 TD passes so far.
Carolina at Atlanta
Carolina. The falcons suck.
NY Giants at Washington
Washington is doing pretty well. Sort of a dark horse.
Dallas at Chicago
Another tough one. Home field swayed me, or rather, the Cowboys' lack of homefield.
Tennessee at New Orleans
Titans. Go Vince.

Looks like a fun week. I think there should be a few. There's some close ones here.
Here it is!
Arizona at Baltimore
Hm. Arizona is going up, Baltimore down, but I'll still take the Ravens at home.
San Diego at Green Bay
Green Bay has looked really good so far and San Diego has underwhelmed, but still...
St. Louis at Tampa Bay
Who'd have thought that this would be an easy pick?
San Fransisco at Pittsburgh
Not yet, Mr. Smith.
Detroit at Philadelphia
I just gotta go on their records here.
Miami at New York Jets
I might regret this one, but i'll hope Pennington is healthy.
Buffalo at New England
I'll take them to go 16-0, thanks.
Minnesota at Kansas City
Yeah!
Indianapolis at Houston
Not yet, Mr. Schaub
Cincinnati at Seattle
Eee. Oh, Mr. Palmer. Make it happen.
Cleveland at Oakland
They put up too many points last week to be ignored.
Jacksonville at Denver
I like Denver this year, especially at home.
New York Giants at Washington
Again, the records.
Carolina at Atlanta
Not Atlanta's year.
Dallas at Chicago
Man, it should be close, but I think I'll take the offense.
Tennessee at New Orleans
What is up with the Saints?
Here it is!
Arizona at Baltimore
Hm. Arizona is going up, Baltimore down, but I'll still take the Ravens at home.
San Diego at Green Bay

Week 2 from Patrick goes a little something like this:
Indianapolis at Tennessee
Last year I continuously overestimated Vince Young. And here I am erring on the side of caution.
Green Bay at New York Giants
How is Eli Manning? 'Taking snaps.' Man, he looked good last week too. Toughie, but I don't like how the pack looked last week.
Cincinnati at Cleveland
Next!
Houston at Carolina
Another walk.
New Orleans at Tampa Bay
And another.
Buffalo at Pittsburgh
In Pittsburgh? Sorry, Kevin Everett.
Atlanta at Jacksonville
I somehow doubt we will get to 8 this week.
San Fransisco at St. Louis
In the dome? Sorry, Mr. Leinart.
Minnesota at Detroit
Shit. This is a powerhouse offense against a powerhouse defense. And when the Vikes have the ball it'll look like pop warner. But I'll have a little faith...
Seattle at Arizona
Just because I know you never take the Cards. Should be a decent game.
Dallas at Miami
Next!
Kansas City at Chicago
What is it, mismatch week?
New York Jets at Baltimore
Apparently.
Oakland at Denver
This is nuts.
San Diego at New England
This will be the only time this year that I pick against the Chargers with confidence.
Washington at Philadelphia
Another easy choice.
Indianapolis at Tennessee
Last year I continuously overestimated Vince Young. And here I am erring on the side of caution.
Green Bay at New York Giants

WEEK 2 PICKS FROM THE UK
Cincinnati at Cleveland
The Bengals should walk with this one. I would be very surprised if I got this wrong.
Indianapolis at Tennessee
The Colts, again. I really like Vince Young, but the Colts should win.
San Francisco at St. Louis
The Rams offence will come alive in this and run all over that SF d-line.
Green Bay at NY Giants
This is a tough one, two teams that are four or five players away from joining the top ranks. Since the Giants are at home and Eli is taking snaps, I will hope they can pull it off.
Buffalo at Pittsburgh
I picked Buffalo against the spread, but the Steelers will still take this.
New Orleans at Tampa Bay
The spread in this game is only three points. WTF.
Houston at Carolina
Delhomme sounds like he played very well, and I dont like Kubiak THAT much.
Atlanta at Jacksonville
Could be the mismatch of the week.
Minnesota at Detroit
Because I dont know and dont care, I will pick the team Patrick is likely to so I can make it a wash.
Dallas at Miami
45 points last week. Dolphins dont have a chance.
Seattle at Arizona
Another candidate for mismatch of the week.
Kansas City at Chicago
And another.
Oakland at Denver
At home, and the Raiders are awful.
NY Jets at Baltimore
At home, Pennington is hurt and they are a playoff team.
San Diego at New England
Tough pick. I will go with the home team Patriots, but man, i dont like having to pick against the Chargers.
Washington at Philadelphia
I think this will be a brutal game, but I will take McNabb on that home turf - even though he has no one to throw to.
Cincinnati at Cleveland
The Bengals should walk with this one. I would be very surprised if I got this wrong.
Indianapolis at Tennessee
The Colts, again. I really like Vince Young, but the Colts should win.

I didn't pick the Browns. Unless you intended to, it's 8 this week.
Still. Could be an early hole for one of us.
Still. Could be an early hole for one of us.
Nine games. Christ.

For the record, I'm blowing through money here in England also. Dolphins is the bet. I can't afford to risk any more.
Good luck this season!
New Orleans at Indianapolis
I’ll take the Colts in a nail-biter here. There’s a reason they stole Vinatieri.
Denver at Buffalo
I’ll take Buffalo. They’re the home team, and run a swarming style of defence that is bound to confound Cutler.
Pittsburgh at Cleveland
Pittsburgh. Moving on…
Philadelphia at Green Bay
These are two teams I know nothing about right now. I think I’ll take the Eagles, but in my fantasy pool, I was least confident about this pick.
Kansas City at Houston
Houston. Kubiak is going to do good things down there, and KC is an old team with a lot of holes in the line-up. Drafting a wideout in the first round makes no sense.
Tennessee at Jacksonville
Tennessee will take this. Vince Young is the new Michael Vick, without the dogs and with some decent accuracy.
Atlanta at Minnesota
I’ll still take Atlanta, if only to just piss you off.
New England at NY Jets
New England in a close one. Mangini still can’t Kill Bill.
Carolina at St. Louis
Carolina. I think people forget what a good team they have there, and what a terrible team the Rams really are on paper.
Miami at Washington
Miami. I really don’t know here, but I think things are starting to turn around in Florida.
Detroit at Oakland
Detroit….? I couldn’t care less.
Chicago at San Diego
San Diego will take this at home. Blowout against a Chicago D suffering a Super Bowl hangover.
Tampa Bay at Seattle
SHOCKER! Tampa. They did well in the preseason, and have finally cut the geezers in their line-up. (The Broncos picked up Simeon… yikes)
NY Giants at Dallas
Dallas at home, and the Giants always have had and will always have too many distractions. It will be another quiet January in East Rutherford.
Baltimore at Cincinnati
I love the Ravens and may actually pick them to win it all, but the Bengals will get off to a good start at home.
Arizona at San Francisco
San Francisco is at home and has Frank Gore. SF.
Good luck this season!

First of all, I hope you don't forget the Thursday opener, as it's a doozie. So post your picks! If you forget, I'll give you one freebee but after that I propose that if you forget to post that it should work against you. This season, the winner is the person with the most wins, not the best record. I think it makes sense. Still, I hope you pick this one, it makes me nervous. Regardless, here are my fearless week 1 prognostications:
Saints at Colts
Just because they're at home. I like the Saints to win the NFC but I say the atmosphere and Peyton Manning are too much. Should be a shootout, though.
Kansas City at Houston
Is Damon Huard the real deal? I don't think it matters this week.
Denver at Buffalo
Too many holes in the Bills.
Carolina at St. Louis
At home. And I still love the offense. Steve Smith will always make me nervous picking against him.
Pittsburgh at Cleveland
Still a playoff threat.
Atlanta at Minnesota
Shockingly, I think Minnesota is being overlooked. This week, I doubt it will matter.
Tennessee at Jacksonville
Even with a new starter at QB. I like their defense against Vince Young
New England at New York Jets
Hope I get to watch this one. New England looks really, really good.
Philadelphia at Green Bay
This is a team that has had GB's number. Also, GB sucks.
Detroit at Oakland
Which team will play to their elusive potential? I'll take the home team.
Chicago at San Diego
Not until they get a QB. Should be fun when the Chargers have the ball, though.
Tampa Bay at Seattle
Not gonna watch this one.
New York Giants at Dallas
Go ahead, Eli. Prove me wrong. Another one to watch.
Baltimore at Cincinnati
This one make me nervous. I would be a lot more comfortable if it was in Baltimore.
Arizona at San Francisco
Two teams on the rise. My head says take the Matt Leinart but my gut goes with San Fran.
Saints at Colts
Just because they're at home. I like the Saints to win the NFC but I say the atmosphere and Peyton Manning are too much. Should be a shootout, though.
Kansas City at Houston
Is Damon Huard the real deal? I don't think it matters this week.
