New York Giants over Carolina Panthers
New England Patriots over Jacksonville Jaguars
New Orleans Saints over Tampa Bay Bucs
Arizona Cardinals over St. Louis Rams

OK, so I work all day tomorrow and then Terri is in town, and we have a wedding on the 27th, so I post now. Also, Merry Christmas!

Atlanta over Buffalo

Cincy over Kansas City

Cleveland over Oakland
The Raiders stepped up last week, but they are inconsistant. Also, I am riding the horse that won me a big one last week.

Green Bay over Seattle

Miami over Houston

Pittsburgh over Baltimore
Game to watch! But I will be at a wedding... But I have restored faith in the Steelers. I think they resolved their pass protection issues last week, and they almost beat the Ravens in Maryland without Rothlisberger. Steelers.

Giants over Carolina
I could see an upset here, but the way the Giants played last week, I doubt it.

New England over Jacksonville
I thought about this one for a while. The Pats are favoured by 7.5. I can't pick against that.

New Orleans over Tampa Bay

Arizona over St. Louis

San Fran over Detroit

Philly over Denver
Royal is out, and Philly is hot and at home. I can't tell you how much I want the Broncos to win this game, for Minnesota's sake. I do NOT want to play a playoff game in Philly.

Indy over the Jets

Dallas over Washington

Minnesota over Chicago
We'll see if it's panic time in Minnesota after this one.

Merry Christmas!
I cheated and opened your present early and its MADDEN! Which is ballin'. Matt and I had decided that we would wait until January sometime when we both could affort the PS3 to buy it, but this might force the process to speed up. Boxing day sale anyone?

Anyhow, the Christmas game should be good, but the Chargers should take it, in my opinion. Two hot teams, but the Chargers are more established. The have less to play for, however, as they are pretty close to locked in for the #2 seed... I may need a second to reconsider...
Apparently Bullock is out for the season, and I think that's a big deal.
Chargers clinch a bye with a win. I think they go hard here. Chargers.

Week 15! I believe my lead has been chipped to 2.5

New England over Buffalo
They've got something to play for. We'll see if Moss rebounds.

Kansas City over Cleveland
Cassel's problem has been interceptions. Cleveland has SIX all season (wtf?). Chiefs.

New York Jets over Atlanta
So statistically dominant. How are they not better than 7-6?

Houston over St. Louis

Tennessee over Miami
They're at home, and they'll run right over that lineup.

Arizona over Detroit

Denver over Oakland

San Diego over Cincinnati
They haven't lost in 8 weeks, and won't start now.

Ravens over Bears

Seattle over Tampa Bay

Philadelphia over San Francisco

Packers over Steelers

Vikings over Carolina

Washington over New York
I realize I am probably putting this game in play by doing this, but the sackmasters will get to Manning and anyone can score on New York.

OK I pick tonight, sleep in tomorrow, OK?
Down 2 and a half and still trying to figure out whether New Orleans losing is good or bad for the Vikings.

New England over Buffalo

Arizona over Detroit

Houston over St. Louis

Cleveland over Kansas City
Both these teams are so bad, but Brady Quinn has lit up some bad defenses, and Josh Cribbs is a difference maker. Also, I am mad at KC for not stepping up for me last week.

Tennessee over Miami
Could go either way, but CJ is on a mission, and I think VY will play. Should come down to the end, but I think Miami is due for a loss.

Jets over Atlanta
Wow i don't care, but the Jets D is off the hook.

Denver over Oakland

San Diego over Cincy
You can't pick against the Chargers at this point, but I would not be stunned at an upset here.

Philadelphia over San Francisco
Eagles must be pissed off at the Saints right about now.

Seattle over Tampa
Just because they are at home.

Baltimore over Chicago
Am I the only one who can see Baltimore catching the Bengals for the division? You heard it here first!

Green Bay over Pittsburgh
Did you know that the Steelers are favored in this game? What the hell? How are they going to lose to OAK, KC and CLE and then turn around and beat one of the hottest teams in the league?

Minnesota over Carolina
If we want to catch the Saints, room for error is officially zero. On the plus side, we have all the tiebreakers.

Giants over Washington
The Redskins are a trendy pick this week, but they lose close games. If they win this one, it will have to be close.

colts (via text) turned out right, but what a wild game. I'll take the Saints on Saturday night, and will post my other picks shortly.

Thursday, December 17, 2009

So today's game is interesting because of motivations.
Jags have a ton to play for. Colts have nothing.
If I was the Colts, I would give the starters the first 3 quarters this week, at least.
I feel like the Jags will give them a run, but, until they prove that they are ready to start resting people I will take the Colts.
And I got the Saints on Saturday, and I don't care if you see this one early. If you want the Cowboys in that one, go for it.

Josh up 3.5 and wishing he had gone with that crazy notion to pick the browns

Steelers over Browns (ugh)
Saints over Falcons
Ravens over Lions
Green Bay over Chicago
Houston over Seattle (the 'hawks schedule is so pathetically easy)
Colts over Denver
Jacksonville over Miami
Bills over the Chiefs
Vikings over Bengals
Pats over Panthers
Jets over Tampa
Titans over Rams
Raiders over Redskins (injuries)
Chargers over Cowboys
Eagles over Giants
Arizona over San Francisco
I post Sunday morning and still beat you to the punch. Hilarious.

New Orleans over Atlanta

Baltimore over Detroit

Green Bay over Chicago

Houston over Seattle

Indy over Denver

Miami over Jacksonville

Kansas City over Buffalo

Minnesota over Cincinnati

New England over Carolina

New York Jets over Tampa Bay

Tennessee over St. Louis

Washington over Oakland

San Diego over Dallas

Philadelphia over New York Giants

Arizona over San Francisco

Josh up 3.5, with another washed week.
Jets over Bills (via text)

Philadelphia over Atlanta
If Ryan was playing, I'd pick a lot differently.

Carolina over Tampa Bay

Chicago over St. Louis

Cincinnati over Detroit

Colts over Titans

Houston over Jacksonville

Broncos over Chiefs

New England over Miami

Pittsburgh over Oakland

Saints over Redskins

Chargers over Browns

Cowboys over Giants

49ers over Seattle

Vikings over Cardinals

Green Bay over Baltimore

OK, why is the Thursday game gotta be like this?
I don't care about either team, but both won last week when I didn't pick them. Buffalo's win was more impressive. But the Jets still have the #2 yardage defense in the league. Now you will know better than I how Toronto will affect this game. But Sanchez throws picks, and the Bills have been making them....
I am on the fence, but I will take the Jets.

Now on to the rest of the week!
No reading past here if you have only made your Thursday picks.

Chicago has looked very bad of late, so this could be an upset, but I think the Bears have finally gotten the break in the schedule that they need, so I say the Rams lose to the Bears.

The Pats have got to be reeling. The issue against the Saints was their secondary, and the Dolphins are not going to put a strain on that. You gotta say it'll be the Pats in this one.

Matt Ryan is out, and the Falcons weren't looking great with him. They were edging bad teams, and so I think Philadelphia will clamp down on that wild card spot and put the pressure on Dallas. Eagles.

New Orleans will win against Washington, but I am curious to see how Washington's secondary holds up, as I emotionally prepare for the Vikings going to the Superdome. I just hope we don't go 15-1 and finish 2nd in the conference.

Tennessee and Indy will be a great game, and I will be cheering for the Titans. They are a lot of fun to watch, and should push the Colts. All that being said, how can you pick against the Colts? No lead is safe. Indy.

Oakland is bad enough that, even without Ben and Troy, the Steelers win this one and stay in the playoff hunt.

Denver is looking for a re-birth here, and they have a good team to do it against. The Chiefs are battlers, and like their upsets, but the Broncos are better all around. Denver.

Again, Tampa/Carolina provides a bad game and a tough decision. If they let Delhomme try to free the beast again, Tampa will win, but I think that the Panthers are smart enough to run Tampa into the ground. Panthers.

Cincy should beat Detroit, even if Benson is out.

Houston has to go to Jacksonville, but we have both shown our lack of faith in the Jags lately, and I will continue that trend. Their record is good, but not deserved, and I take the Texans.

San Diego stomps Cleveland.

I have to go against the Giants until they start winning and with the Cowboys until they start losing. I will be cheering for the Giants, but picking the Cowboys.

San Fran should beat Seattle.

Minnesota has their first real test in a while. If Warner is out, this should be easy, but if he plays, their pass game will push our secondary. I hope Winfield is back. Vikings.

Baltimore and Green Bay should be the best game of the week, but the Ravens did not impress me in beating a beat up Steelers team, and Green Bay appears to be rounding into form nicely. The Vikings should be glad they got that team early in the schedule. At Lambeau? Packers.
