yeah, that's a lot of open games. Christ.

Packers (pat) v. Cowboys (josh)
Titans (pat) v. Texans (josh)
Jags (pat) v. Colts (josh)
Lions (pat) v. Vikings (josh)
Philly (pat) v. Seattle (josh)
New York (Pat) v. Chicago (josh)
Tampa Bay (Pat) v. New Orleans (josh)

Interesting stats: I have the home team in five of seven of these... your picks have a combined 49-28, while mine are 46-31.

This will be a good week. One of us could be very, very sad. did you want to revise the bet?

Wednesday, November 28, 2007

There are a lot of weird picks here, I know. But I just am going with what my gut says. We'll see.

Green Bay at Dallas
The three reasons the Packers are this good are Brett Favre, Donald Driver, and the emergence of the bump-and-run secondary. Brett Favre is a career 0-8 in Dallas, Driver will run into a bump-and-run of his own to deal with, and Owens will *shred* the Packers DBs. And they're at home.

San Francisco at Carolina
Not a game I care to watch. I was wrong the last time the 49ers travelled to the east coast, but the panthers have no QB. at all.

Jacksonville at Indianapolis
Yeah, this'll get ugly in Indy.

San Diego at Kansas City
I think KC was a blip. They're not a good team. At all. And with four losses in a row, it'll soon be five.

NY Jets at Miami
Another battle of the Titans. "I JUST CAN'T STAND THESE JETS!"

Detroit at Minnesota
The Lions have lost three in a row and are terrible on the road. And the Vikings have not recently played better.

Seattle at Philadelphia
They've won three in a row, and the Eagles, well, haven't. ANd with McNabb back, it'll be the same old problems.

Atlanta at St. Louis
They're at home and are finally playing like something resembling a team.

Houston at Tennessee
The Titans have lost 3 of 4, with their last win coming against the hapless Panthers.

Buffalo at Washington
These are two bad teams, but I think the home field will give the Redskins some of that early-season form they've been searching for desperately.

Cleveland at Arizona
These teams are coming from nowhere. Cleveland is the surprise of the year to me.

Denver at Oakland
Common boys.

NY Giants at Chicago
This is another game that I think is bizarre. And the Giants record has been built on wins against shitty teams. The Bears have homefield, Rex Grossman has some measure of confidence, and let's not forget the only team the Packers have lost to this year.

Tampa Bay at New Orleans
Well, Tampa Bay has won three in a row, but look at their wins: Carolina, St. Louis, the Titans, Arizona, Atlanta, Washington. Jesus. THose are about the six weakest teams in the league. The Saints are at home, played well last week, and have turned it around since week 2.

Cincinnati at Pittsburgh
Did you see the punts in the Miami game? It was so wet, they didn't even bounce. They just "thwacked" into the soil. Still, The Steelers are the better team here.

New England at Baltimore
12 and counting.
So I overestimated the Panthers. Can you blame me? Probably. So we are heading into week 13. After the 12 previous weeks, we have been tied for 2 and Josh has led for 10. I'll just hang around for that late strike. So.

(Yikes, some of these are tough...)

Packers over Cowboys
THIS game... This game I will watch.

Chargers over Chiefs
Oakland beat this team.

Titans over Texans
I think we'll have a rebound.

Jaguars over Colts
I know it's in Indy, but no Harrison, no Freeney... I just don't see it.

Redskins over Bills
For Sean Taylor.

49ers over Panthers
This may be an overreaction to last week...

Lions over Vikings
Because they seem to lose when I pick them.

Jets over Dolphins
I just can't. I almost did. But I can't.

Rams over Falcons
They looked good against Seattle.

Eagles over Seahawks
Just because they made Brady look human.

Browns over Cardinals
I like this team, I do I do.

Broncos over Raiders
But I'm cheering for the moose.

Giants over Bears
Another rebound.

Bucs over Saints
Kinda tough call for me here.

Steelers over Bengals
If the weather keeps up, you gotta like Pittsburgh's ground game.

Patriots over Ravens
Here's a good way to get back on track.

Wednesday, November 21, 2007

So, we'll be watching the Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints this weekend to see who has the lead.

And yes, the Broncos are playing better. Thank God. Both our teams are, which is good. It was a rough few weeks.
There are a couple that might go either way, but I think we may have the same picks here.

Green Bay at Detroit
Detroit has lost two in a row, and looked bad at home.

NY Jets at Dallas
They'll be tired, but it's the Jets.

Indianapolis at Atlanta
Easy call again.

New Orleans at Carolina
Saints. Both these teams have been losing, but the Saints have a healthier roster.

Tennessee at Cincinnati
Titans...? Man, another tough call. I think the Titans are a far better team, but they've been losing badly. Still.

Houston at Cleveland
Cleveland is playing well and is at home. They should take it against a hot Texans team.

Buffalo at Jacksonville
They're suddenly playing amazingly. A contender.

Oakland at Kansas City
Each of these teams has lost a bunch ina row, but KC's have been against good teams. Even without a running back, they should win here.

Minnesota at NY Giants
Sorry, Adrian.

Seattle at St. Louis
St Louis has won two in a row, but the Seahawks are starting to look like the Seahawks of old.

Washington at Tampa Bay
Tough call, but I'll take them at home. I still can't read Washington. They scrape out a win against the Jets, but then stay in it with the Cowboys. Whatever.

San Francisco at Arizona
What happened to the 49ers this year?

Denver at Chicago
Two Jeckyll and Hyde teams here. I hope my Broncos will bring their A-game.

Baltimore at San Diego
Chargers at home.

Philadelphia at New England
Patriots continue their streak. Moss continues his pursuit of record.

Miami at Pittsburgh
Shitty game for Monday night. Steelers.

Tuesday, November 20, 2007

Happy American Thanksgiving!

Packers over Lions
Tough to think that these two would both be in playoff spots at this point.

Cowboys over Jets
They beat the Steelers, and that will be enough for the 'boys to focus on this week, not next week (Green Bay).

Colts over Falcons
Good time for a soft spot in the Indy schedule.

Titans over Bengals
Hanesworth will be back and the slide will stop.

Jaguars over Bills
Man, they won with David Grey at QB, and now Gerrard is back. Playoff team. No doubt.

Kansas City over Oakland
If they can't beat a Viking's team without their best weapon...

Seahawks over Rams
Why am I hesitating?

Buccaneers over Redskins
Toughest one yet. Close. Take the home team.

Browns over Texans
Why not?

Panthers over Saints
And off the bandwagon am I.

Giants over Vikings
:P

Cardinals over 49ers
Wow this week is pretty easy.

Chargers over Ravens
Still on this bandwagon.

Broncos over Bears
I hate to tell you this, but you might have a team here.

Eagles....Just kidding. Patriots over Eagles.

Steelers over Dolphins
I may not watch this one.

Saturday, November 17, 2007

Just the Giants/Lions. Should be fun.
OK. Here it goes.

Bucs over Falcons
Seem to be moving in opposite directions, but I'll still take Garcia over Harrington.

Browns over Ravens
Wow this would have seemed like a longshot 10 weeks ago.

Giants over Lions
This is an interesting game, but I like the Giant's pass rush.

Eagles over Dophins
Man, Ricky Williams had better have some tricks left.

Vikings over Raiders
Without a RB this may get ugly, but I still like the defense.

Jaguars over Chargers
Only because it's in Jacksonville.

Colts over Chiefs
They can't lose 3 straight, right?

Bengals over Cardinals
Says something about Arizona, I think.

Packers over Panthers
Fianlly, an easy one.

Saints over Texans
I really think this is still a good team.

Steelers over Jets
Another easy one.

Seahawks over Bears
Don't care.

Rams over 49ers
Call it momentum.

Cowboys over Redskins
Do the 'boys play the Pack this year?

Patriots over Bills
Every week people ask about the upset. Not gonna happen.

Titans over Broncos
Just because I want some games in play.

Thursday, November 15, 2007

Tampa Bay at Atlanta
They're not looking as strong as they were, but they'll still beat Atlanta. Hopefully.

Cleveland at Baltimore
Easy call. The Ravens aren't what they were, and neither are the Browns.

Arizona at Cincinnati
Could they win two in a row? Yes, I think they can.

NY Giants at Detroit
Tough game, but I'll take the Lions on home turf, where they're unbeaten. I think Pat will think differently, though.

Carolina at Green Bay
Easy call.

New Orleans at Houston
Houston has no starting cornerback. I think the Saints will win this, even though they lost to (gasp) St Louis.

Kansas City at Indianapolis
It's not that bad a skid.

San Diego at Jacksonville
San Diego got a good start and won a game last week against a great team, but they did nothing in the second half. Jacksonville is at home and looked good last week.

Oakland at Minnesota
Even I'll take the Vikings here.

Miami at Philadelphia
Baarely. Worse gets worse for Miami.

Pittsburgh at NY Jets
Big Ben ticks. har har har.

Washington at Dallas
Best in the NFC.

St. Louis at San Francisco
San Francisco had a short turnaround, was shut out by a mediocre Seahawks team, and lost in Atlanta. This is tough, but I'll take the Rams.

Chicago at Seattle
They're playing well, obviously. See above. And the Bears are a bizarre road team.

New England at Buffalo
neeeeeeeeexxxxxxxt

Tennessee at Denver
And here we get to another tough call. Denver still has injuries and the Titans are a great rushing team, while the Broncos couldn't stop Brenna in a run. Titans.

Sunday, November 11, 2007

Okay, Go Broncos.
Ok pat, forgive me. im sorry these are late. i will email you now that they're done.

Atlanta at Carolina
Yeah, fool me once, shame on me. But it's still Atlanta.

Minnesota at Green Bay
Green Bay at home. Sorry, Adrian.

Denver at Kansas City
I am going to take a flier here. I'll go down with the ship. Reasoning? Despite the slightly different records, Larry Johnson is out, KC has scored wins so far over Cincy, Oakland, Minnesota, and San Diego... all underperforming teams. Denver has beat Pittsburgh, Buffalo, and Oakland, and the margin-of-victory over the Broncos by the Colts was among the lowest of the Colts wins. And I think we can live without Rod Smith and Jarvis Moss. Plus, I bleed Bronco.

Buffalo at Miami
Buffalo. remember how i kept picking them last year and you were like, wtf? im telling you... they have a decent team.

St. Louis at New Orleans
Holy Hell. What, they couldn't book the Saints vs. the Victoria School of the Performing and Visual Arts Redmen?

Cleveland at Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh. The one team with a chance to put a "1" in the loss column beside "NE"

Jacksonville at Tennessee
Home, Vince.

Philadelphia at Washington
Both these teams squeak by against bad teams, but I'll take washington at home, where they're 3-1.

Cincinnati at Baltimore
Ravens will rock this. Wtf is up with cinci?

Detroit at Arizona
Yeahhhhhh

Dallas at NY Giants
Sorry, Osi.

Chicago at Oakland
Their road record is 2-2. Oakland's overall record is 2-6.

Indianapolis at San Diego
Blowout.

San Francisco at Seattle
Ok Seriously, the Chargers, Broncos, Seahawks, Bengals, Bears, Eagles... these were all great teams one or two years ago. What happened?

Friday, November 09, 2007

Week 10 and what a big week it is. I feel like I just had a bye week - rested and rarin' to go.
Here's what's gonna happen. You better get under these picks, because otherwise, the lead is mine.

Atlanta @ Carolina
They bailed my ass out last week, but I'll jump off that bandwagod pretty fast.

Minnesota @ Green Bay
I just can't make that pick, just because I know how hard it was to get those 2 games back that I lost in week 1. It took me 8 weeks!

Denver @ Kansas City
Maybe they'll bounce back from humiliation? I think no.

Buffalo @ Miami
Did you know that both Miami and St. Louis get Cincy down the stretch?

St. Louis @ New Orleans
Blowout.

Cleveland @ Pittsburgh
A lot of people are making noise about how much the Browns have improved. But to have improved this much is essentially impossible.

Jacksonville @ Tennessee
The team that wins close games vs. the team that loses them.

Philadelphia @ Washington
Philadelphia is just missing something...

Cincinatti @ Baltimore
Man, what happened to the AFC North?

Detroit @ Arizona
Man, where did the NFC North come from?

Dallas @ New York Giants
Wow this could be fun. I gotta go Romo.

Chicago @ Oakland
I hesitate. And then I realize that I just can't take Oakland.

Indianapolis @ San Diego
Man, what a bad time to lose to Minnesota.

San Fransisco @ Seattle
The Seahawks are better than the Falcons.

All. God. Damn. Day.

Sunday, November 04, 2007

After nine weeks, we're back where we started.

And the new rushing record holder wears purple.

Bad week for Josh.

Saturday, November 03, 2007

well with all of this, the one game that counts is the 2-5 '49ers against the 1-6 Falcons. Wow. Still, I'll be watching the Patriots and Colts game. I really, really thought about the colts, but man, I just couldn't do it.
When Miami and St Louis have byes, it's tough to pick a winner, no?

San Francisco at Atlanta
This game won't be very good, but I'm worried I am making a bad pick here. with no gmae-breakers, I don't know who is a worse team. The only win the Falcons have is against Houston.

Cincinnati at Buffalo
Yikes, another tough call. Take the home team....?

Denver at Detroit
It breaks my heart, but they're undefeated at home.

Green Bay at Kansas City
Easy game, i think, but the Packers are the vegas underdogs.

San Diego at Minnesota
Chargers. Sorry Pat.

Jacksonville at New Orleans
They've won three in a row, and Jacksonville is using a rookie QB.

Washington at NY Jets
The Jets are awful.

Arizona at Tampa Bay
Home team, I guess. Another tough call. This week could get rough.

Carolina at Tennessee
Titans at home, 5-2, and Carolina is having QB issues. Hopefully the Titan D will take advantage.

Seattle at Cleveland
Coming off a bye with Hasselbeck starting, I think they're back in shape.

New England at Indianapolis
This is tough. But there'd be a third undefeated team if the Pats didn't already play the Cowboys. And I know Indy has won at home, and beat them in the playoffs last year, but since then the Pats have added Thomas, Moss, Stallworth, Welker. And they're the Patriots - Bellicheck has usually done well against Manning.

Houston at Oakland
Houston is 1-5 in their last six, Johnson is hurting and they're on the road in a pretty hostile environment.

Dallas at Philadelphia
Go 'boys.

Baltimore at Pittsburgh
I just hope they don't look past this game.

Friday, November 02, 2007

OK, here it goes. I like the looks of this week, there are some close ones.

San Francisco @ Atlanta
Oh wow, did I really just do that?

Cincinnatti @ Buffalo
Two more bad teams.

Denver @ Detroit
Watch out Green Bay...

Green Bay @ Kansas City
Coming off MNF vs. coming off a bye... Oh wait it's Brett Favre.

San Diego @ Minnesota
Ugly.

Jacksonville @ New Orleans
Ooh 2 playoff teams. Finally.

Washington @ New York Jets
Ew.

Carolina @ Tennessee
It's Vince Time!

Arizona @ Tampa Bay
They lost a big one for me last week.

Seattle @ Cleveland
Would have been easier last year.

New England @ Indianapolis
AFC title game preview... and game of the year.

Houston @ Oakland
I may regret this one.

Dallas @ Philadelphia
Best of the NFC

Baltimore at Pittsburgh
How did this beat out NE/IND for the prime time spot?
