So I have Minnesota, Jacksonville and New Orleans, and you have Philadelphia, Tampa Bay, and San Francisco.

So I am comfortable.
OK, so this week I think that the...

COLTS will beat the Panthers, but it could be close. Maybe the Colts are looking ahead a week?

LIONS will beat Chicago, and wow, who would have thought that 8 weeks ago?

STEELERS will beat the Bengals and I really wouldn't want to be any team that plays Pittsburgh after they lose one like that.

The GIANTS should beat up on Miami. I really think that the Cowboys and Giants will both make it to the dance this year.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and take the VIKINGS at home, because this might just be a game they can win. Plus, I want to have a little bit at stake this week.

St. Louis will lose. Let's double check who they play.... Ah, yes, the BROWNS.

The TITANS will beat the ever-so-inconsistant Raiders.

Wow only because they beat Baltimore last week, but I'll risk taking the BILLS even though they are in New York.

The CHARGERS would be a scary team to play right now. Houston isn't ready yet.

Another tough one! I'll take the JAGS to bounce back in Tampa Bay.

I cannot, in good faith, not take the PATRIOTS, even though I think that this is the first one they have any chance of losing.

I'll take the SAINTS over a battered San Fran squad.

And, even th0ugh they beat the Steelers last week, I still think the Broncos will lose to the PACKERS.

Josh's picks. Week 8.

Indianapolis at Carolina
Testaverde vs. Manning. It'd be a hell of a story, but it shouldn't happen, and won't.

Detroit at Chicago
I am starting to think this team can actually play. The beat Tampa. I would never have thought I'd take this pick two months ago, but here I am.

Pittsburgh at Cincinnati
Playing like they belong again, except for in Denver. Cowher who?

NY Giants at Miami
The fish are bad. Zach Thomas and Ronnie Brown are out. And Plexico is in. Ummm... pooor London. This won't be a great game to sell the league across the pond.

Philadelphia at Minnesota
only a 1-point spread in vegas on this one. But the Viking D is just piss poor, so I'm fine betting against the Purple Pigskins.

Cleveland at St. Louis
St. louis is starting to show life, but not that much.

Oakland at Tennessee
I don't know about the Titans anymore. Some times they look like Titans, other times they look like Shite-ans. Yeah, I said it.

Buffalo at NY Jets
Speaking of teams that are Jekyll and Hyde... and of teams that won't be in the playoffs...

Houston at San Diego
I hope.

Jacksonville at Tampa Bay
This is a tough call, too. Tampa loses to Detroit, Jags to Indy. but with homefield and no garrard, I'll take the Bucs.

Washington at New England
Wow.

New Orleans at San Francisco
Fuck. Both teams have only two wins. New Orleans have come in their last two games, but that includes a nailbiter against Atlanta. Frank Gore is due for a big game.

Green Bay at Denver
Fuuuuuck. Green Bay is 5-1, but Denver is playing way better and is at home. But if there's any team where playing in Denver is same-old, it's Green Bay. But Bubba Franks is out. But Travis Henry is also hurt. And I love the Broncos. FUCK! Green Bay had a week off. there's the difference.

Week.. What is it, 6? Week 6 ish picks.

The Ravens will beat the Rams, just because most teams beat the Rams.

The Vikings are looking a little overwhelmed, and, sadly, are in worse QB shape than the Bears.

Miami looks really bad. I'll take Derek Anderson and the Browns.

The Redskins look good, but I like the Packers to bounce back.

Jacksonville is usually good at home, and are quietly primed to go 4-1 if they beat the upstart Texans. Might regret this one, but I'll take the Jaguars.

Cincinnati and Kansas City are both teams that will either show up or not. The Chiefs are at home, but I'll take the Bengals coming off a bye.

Chad Pennington has looked good at times, but this team blew a pretty big lead against the Giants, so I'm inclined to take the Eagles in this one.

Tampa and Tennessee? Wow, two teams that are really on the rise. But, I'm gonna hop on the VY train and take the Titans on the road.

Apparently, sliding under the radar, David Carr is the starter for the Panthers, which leads me to believe that Kurt Warner will be enough at home to get the Cardinals a win.

Now, the game of the week. I hope it's a good one, and I'm glad it's in Dallas, but I just can't bring myself to bet against the Patriots.

I feel sorry for Oakland having to play this newly awakened Chargers team.

New Orleans is somehow still blowing smoke. I assume they will wake up at some point, but I'll take the Seahawks in Seattle.

Atlanta is just not good enough to beat Eli Manning and the 2nd-half Giants.
St. Louis at Baltimore
As you said last week, the Rams are ugly. Ravens aren't much better. Ever try to Ram a Raven? It gets messy.

Minnesota at Chicago
Minnesota's defence is horrible, which is good, because so is Chicago's offence. But if they can go toe-to-toe with Favre, they can do the same at home against the Vikings. I've always wanted to ask... how would a Viking even sail to Minnesota?

Miami at Cleveland
Green is out, and everyone is sad - even though he's yet to win a game for the 'Fins. That's like becoming depressed when your alcoholic father runs out of booze. Things are getting uglier by the week in Florida.

Washington at Green Bay
I think last week was an anomoly for both teams. I hope I'm right. Watch for Portis to have a bad game, as the 'skins' arrival doubles the number of black people in Wisconsin.

Houston at Jacksonville
This pick scares me, but Jones-Drew has been playing well, and no one in Houston that wears two of the same shoes has done anything right in the past two weeks.

Cincinnati at Kansas City
I am still unconvinced that this team is shitty, but it's been a long time since anyone with a spear and arrow beat a freakin' tiger.

Philadelphia at NY Jets
Man, both of these teams are all over the charts. I'll give the edge to the bye-week team. If they lose, do you think the papers would allow the headline "JETS CRASH IN NYC"?

Tennessee at Tampa Bay
This pick also makes me nervous. But the Bucs have no running back. And the Titans have Vince.

Carolina at Arizona
I would feel more comfortable if Leinart was healthy, but since no Carolina quarterback is, I'll take the Cardinals.

New England at Dallas
Both undefeated. But Dallas needed a final play to beat the... Bills? Different teams, different style, different everything. I'll fall back on Billy B and the Pats.

Oakland at San Diego
Perhaps they've awoken? They'll have to, because the Raiders are leading the AFC west. ARRRRGHHHGOORORNGG! "Hey Moose! Keep it down!"

New Orleans at Seattle
Last week was ugly, but they're still a good team. And I think the Saints still get nervous playing on the coast. Too soon?

NY Giants at Atlanta
I think when, five weeks into the season, Shockey hasn't yet been arrested for a DUI or a hate crime, that's a sign that maybe things might be going well in the swamp.

Go Denver...
This is about the point in the season where most of the teams seem to be a little confusing. But the picks are as such.

Jacksonville at Kansas City
Man, they beat the Chargers. This is tough. Jags are rested.

Arizona at St. Louis
Man the Rams are ugly.

Atlanta at Tennessee
Easy choice

Detroit at Washington
I like the Redskins, but they need to prove it to me once more.

Cleveland at New England
Come on, Josh, pick the upset...

Seattle at Pittsburgh
They'll bounce back

Jets at Giants
This is basic logic to me.

Carolina at New Orleans
Yikes, the battle of the underachievers... I'll take the team with wins.

Miami at Houston
Man, I just can't pick the Dolphins.

Tampa Bay at Indianapolis
...

San Diego at Denver
Ohh, man. If they can't beat the Chiefs.... Rivers is not ready. Cutler might be.

Baltimore at San Fransisco
Not with Dilfer under centre.

Chicago at Green Bay
God the Bears need a QB.

Dallas at Buffalo
Fugly.
